New Year or New Life?
We should really think about what we are going to try to do for the whole year. Now we make them seem so little when they are really hard for us to do. So why don't we try to make to make it big and really important? Something like helping your neighbor who is having a hard time. Or trying to be nice to the person who you cannot stand.( Because every time I've done this, they've always been some of the coolest people I ever met.) WHY don't we try somethings like these? Why does it have to benefit just us? Why are we the center of our own attention? There are more people outside of your little bubble.
No need to be an introvert ;)
And try not to be a scary extrovert ;P
What are we going to do that will make this year different then the rest? 2015 most of us are adults, and most of us are almost adults. Lets do something that will change our counties, if that's too big lets focus on the culdesac, and if that's to big focus on the homes. Do something that will change every one in some way or another, help them find the New Life that God gives. So lets let this year bring Glory to God. Lets be the "good and perfect gifts" that James was talking about in 1:17. (James 1:17 Every Good and Perfect gift is from above.)
Q: So what is going to be your New Years Resolution?
Will it be something that is important, or will help benefit others in any way?
And for the final challenge of this year I want you guys to think about what you can do and find a way to do it.

Are You Naughty Or Nice? (included Bible Christmas story)
Luke 1:26-38
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
Luke 2:1-20
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
Matthew 2
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
And Through this we were declared NICE!! Jesus came here as a baby and grew up among (naughty) sinners. To die for us so that we could be declared nice! This is really cool to me and I hope for you guys too.
Thank God for the great gift He gave us this Christmas Season, because that gift ,is the main reason for this season.
So Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls from my Family to Yours Merry Christmas (and Happy New Year) to all and to all a good night.

The Kings Journey ( a parody to "Twas the Night Before Christmas")
But a teenage boy who was quite parched.
Looking for some water to find but ends up quite confused
The boy looked at the book and saw the story of a of a King's birth.
And the boy was rather shocked with what he was seeing.
He sees an Angel, telling a Virgin she will give birth to the King.
And the woman was not scared of the tall, Angelic being.
She went to tell her cousin who was also with child,
that when she heard virgin's voice the child was not mild.
The virgin had told her all that has happened and she smiled
When the virgin returned ,she told her ,so to be husband, that she was with child.
This man was shocked and thought to hide their wedding not to embarrass himself, but to protect the virgin and the soon to be child,
The boy thought this was wrong but kept watching to see what would happen, to the soon to be born child.
A voice from above came to the man in a dream telling him to marry the virgin, because the Child that she would give birth to would save the world from their sin.
And the man married the Virgin,
And stopped the wedding diversion
A few weeks later, a decree had been made the people where to go to their homes of their forefathers.
The man took his wife to the city of Bethlehem the town of David.
When they arrived the baby's ,dated, day had come.
In a Stable on that chilly night,
One bright star shone bright,
Along with the Angles singing that sounded so right.
Saying,"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
The Shepherds searched for the King, who was born in a manger.
And they soon found the small stranger,
and they left the little stranger, laying in a manger, in hopes of one day seeing Him later.
As weeks turned into months and months turned into years three kings came bringing gifts to the King of Kings.
Bringing Frankincense, Gold, and Myrrh to celebrate the Kings birth on earth.
And that is where the story ended for the boy, who had a smile on his face,
who was walking back to his room at quite a slow pace.
For he was thinking of what he had just seen, in the dark place
it was the beginning of the Kings Journey, a story that gave him hope and reminded him of God's grace.
Hey readers hope you enjoyed my little story,
and hope you all have an amazing Christmas.

Digging Up Christmas
When I was in Germany It was easy to get caught up in the season of Christmas Markets and Friends and Cookies. I often was so into all the little things that come with the season the I altogether forgot what it was all about. I celebrated advent but didn't take time to read the accounts of Jesus' Birth personally and thank him sincerely for what he did. The last year I spent in Germany I never even felt that warm fuzzy feeling you get from listening to Christmas music in the car or even the excitement of waking up on Christmas morn itself. I simply went through the motions.
Alas this year I shall not get carried away in the traditions and routines of this season. Rather, I have made a decision before December even came to put my focus on, and acknowledge the Lord for his sacrifice by coming to us as a baby, and dig up the meaning and passion of Christmas much like you would dig up decorations from your attic. I hope as well that you would all do the same. Merry Christmas Folks!

Idols nasty Idols
IPODS! IPADS! IPHONES! I think that they are the Idol of this day and age. We have done it again! This is when we can call ourselves sheep..... yes........sheep. We are just as dumb as sheep we do the same mistakes as our ancestors. For Example I guessing that most of you guys and gals have heard the story of the first sin. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And we have no clue what it looked likes but most people think it looks like an Apple. We know what the Apple Insignia looks like.
Its an Apple But look at the Bite! | |
Announcer: Let me introduce the Iphone 5 it has a Gold back,it can log on to the internet faster. It can take the best photos out of any of the Iphones.
Customer: Sir, Does it come in the shape of a calf?
Has anyone seen that? It is from a picture but I don't have it :( So anyway...... Are you readers catching my drift You see where I'm going with this.
We've made Idols and not just out of Apple Devices. We've made more Idols like the TV and the Shows we watch. Books and the characters we meet. Computers and the things we do on them. How many more Idols are we going to make? Why is it that we make other things (ungody things) take the place of the Lord.
And its high time we got away from these Idols Its time that we don't spend so much time with them. Spend more time in God's Word, with your family, and friends. Just Get off these idols and Start being with the people who actually need to be with you!

Personality Test,Why do them? People like you because your You!
Personality tests they are really stupid if you think about it. On these test you either get a good score that says your Fantastic and you do this stuff blah, blah, blah. Or a bad one that says your a troublemaker and you do all these awful things and that you should change them. But one thing is with these test a person can always go back and retake the test to get a better score then the last time. But in all honesty do these tests define us? Are we bound by what some test stupid test gives us? I'll give you my answer NO. These test are just made my men, sinful men. Why would we take a test that isn't made by God? Why not take a test that helps you to grow as a Christian. In the Fruits of the Spirit. Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, and Self Control. Which Against Such There is no Law by the way. If we test ourselves, they will help us to Grow as a Christian, in these eight "fruits". What do you think we could do? What do you think we will Accomplish? Perhaps there is a kid in your school who takes a personality test and is given a troublemaker score, and some people can get really down in these test. What can you do to help him or her? What can you help with? Or another possibility is that, say in whatever it is you do, lets say that there is a person that just seems unapproachable they always look grouchy and mean. Will you be the person to prove to others that they are wrong and that person could become your best friend?
Quit letting a stupid test tell you what you can do, and what you are. Do something that no one wants to do and show the world that there is something different about you.

Its time for a REVIEW on Big Hero Six
Big Hero Six is about a genius kid that lives in San Fransokyo with his Aunt and brother but as we know Disney movies can't ever have Happy Beginnings! Why? Because the Older brother dies! Dies I know what a pain! But before the brother dies he shows, the main character, Hiro his robot Baymax. A nurse robot who awakens at the word, " ouch" and doesn't go back until he is told to.
The story is great, has a cool villain one that doesn't scare children. This is a great family movie, so grab some popcorn and enjoy the humerus and thrilling adventure of Big Hero Six.

Small Made Significant by His Love... Give Thanks and be Merry!
I'm excited to have my sister back from college for a whole month. I can't wait to sit around a groaning table, laden with delicious food, and listening to the laughter of my family as they regale us with tales. I'm ready for gift-giving. As I have grown, I've realized that Christmas is more enjoyable when you are giving, not receiving. I love the excited faces of my siblings opening a gift that I strove to wrap well. (It normally just looks like a wad of paper and tape. But, it's the effort that counts, right?)
With all of this to look forward to, I'm most excited about remembering why we celebrate and why we give thanks. These grand celebrations that we look forward to every year should remind us of what God has
given and is giving us. It's amazing what He has blessed us with.
If you're ever driving through the countryside, pull over. Open the door. Step out. Look up. Be amazed. Stagger. You're small. You can hardly breathe. How can we get so caught up in our own little worlds, that we forget how immense this universe is? How can we be so important? We tore this universe apart when we sinned.
Yet God still somehow loves us. Beyond imagining. He gave us the ultimate reason to give thanks, and the most incredible gift ever. Christ. His Son. He gave us a chance to live with Him in eternity. This. Among so many other reasons, are why we should give thanks. The Father still sees us as the jewel of His creation, even if we were shattered into a thousand pieces. That doesn't mean a thing to Him. He gave the Gift to take the punishment we deserved for rending the fellowship we had with Him. So be merry! Rejoice! Give thanks! Immanuel has come!

Philippians 2:5-11 Think and Act like God
Philippians 2:5-11
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
As a military brat I've learned to follow orders and not to complain about them. (This is my favorite verse for this week anyway.) Because I always need a reminder to act and to think like Jesus It helps me, be me :) .Have a great day everyone

Europe vs. America round one-Scenery
Ok this is not really a battle between the two continents to see which is better. It is really just comparing the two and looking at similarities and differences. In this round I will be reflecting on the many long car rides in which I stared out the window for hours and analysing the scenery of the areas.
Europe to strike first! Well Europe is pretty diverse (no pun intended). In the north and western countries such as Germany and France it has rolling hills sprinkled with wooded patches coloured with fifty shades of green. In the Alps of southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland there are tall incredibly tall mountans with high peaks and low bases the points looke sharpened and capped with snow all year round. It is alot of beauty in a small area. There are also more regions than I can fit into one paragraph such as Britain and Ireland, Italy, Spain and other Mediterranean countries. All around it seems concentrated.
America has it's own uniqueness to it. In the north and west coast it has dramatic hills and mountains covered with tall pine trees of dark green. In the west it has many leagues of flat plains with maybe some hills here and there. Looking at it I feel bored at the nothingness of it yet at the same time awestruck at the utter hugeungousness (that is a word look it up) of it all! It is so wide open and huge and although there is not a whole lot to look at like Europe, it has it's own unique beauty that might not be appreciated by some people. There is also the desert of the Southwest, the Farmlands of the Midwest, the
Appa-whatever mountains of the East, and more. But all around it seems very large and spread out like a little bit of butter spread over a large piece of bread, it may not seem like much compared to the same amount of butter spread over a small piece, but it is really the same.
In This Life
In John 15:18 ' If the world hates you,ye know that it hated me before it hated you.' If it seems like the world hates you right now. You should know that the Lord dealt with this things before you now should know that we do not need worry about it.
It says in 1 Peter 3:14 ' But and if he suffer for righteousness' sake happy, are ye and be not afraid of terror, neither be troubled.' If God said not to be troubled or afraid we should believe what He says is true.
One reason why people will be mean to you is because you are different and you have something they won't in John 17:14 it says ' I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.'
If God wasn't from the world neither should we. We should not be sinning because that is of the world. If we are not of the world then we should try not to sin.

Honor And Respect
When we Honor all men we must show some respect to them. But there are some people who do not deserve respect.
Psalm 40:4
Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
If you want honor and respect you must remain humble and trusts the Lord. When we are humble and Trust the King people will see us as a inspiration.
Matthew 5:16
In the same way,let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
The Light we are shining is the Light of Christ and other people are trying to find it.
So lets show the world the light we have, when we let it shine we will be seen as a inspiration to those who don't have it.

10 Things I Will Always Remember From my Time in Germany
1. I will always remember that excited, but slightly apprehensive, feeling of moving to Germany. Excited for the obvious reasons, one of them being in the middle of history itself. And then the apprehensive feeling of being overseas. Far from my homeland.
2. The food. Man, do the Germans know how to eat. From schnitzel to pizza, and from the bratwurst to the amazing gilatos.
3. The culture that surrounds this place. For instance, when you come to eat at dinner, it is a time to sit down and fellowship together, and to enjoy the delicious spread before you. It easily takes about two and a half hours to eat dinner at a German restaurant.
4. The friends I have made. They have been amazing blessings, and they have helped me grow in many areas. I will not forget any of them! I am immensely grateful for every one of them.
5. The traveling. It has been a blast going on road trips with my family. We have journeyed all over the continent of Europe together, and have made numerous memories.
6. A gathering of teens called "FAB Friday." It was a time where we would gather every Friday night to enjoy food, fellowship, and fun! But more importantly, we were able to dig into the Word of the Lord, and grow from what we learned.
7. The castles. By George, there are castles on almost every hillside. I will definitely miss exploring these old ruins around here.
8. The beauty of Bavaria. My family and I were blessed to be in one of the most beautiful places in Germany. One of the sixteen states of Germany, it (in my opinion) is the most fantastic. It's rolling hills and forests will always have a place in my heart.
9. My family. I could not imagine where I would be without them.
10. Every experience. Every fall. Every laugh. Every tear. Every smile. All of it. It has been an amazing time. The Lord knew what He was doing the day He sent us to Germany!
*Note, that these are in no particular order.

How to Change the World
For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Psalm 34:13
Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
Cursing its terrible we defile ourselves by saying such bad words against one another.
Have you ever heard the saying " If you have nothing nice to say don't say it."? That saying is fantastic.
It helps keep all type of relationships. You should be kind to everyone you meet because they could be going though something terrible and I bet you don't want to make them feel worse.
A Saying from Veggietales was
"God doesn't want us to spread words that can hurt, God wants us to spread nice words."
Words are a great way to change the world.

A step to gaining Honor
Enjoy humility my friends because He give grace to the humble. Grace is amazing I may talk about that next time though.
But in the end any honor that we get we should give all the glory to the Lord because that's where it all comes from,Him.

Restless
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it." 1 Corinthians 9:24 (ESV)
Run. Every. Single. Inch.
