Psalm 139 - Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

The past few days, I have been reading through Psalms, and came back across the passage of Psalm 139!  I forgot how comforting that Psalm really is.  It is tremendous how, though it makes us feel small, it can make us feel strong.  Strong in Christ.  This Psalm speaks of the Almighty God's power, and just how he has everything in the palm of his hand..  Nothing can change that.  He knows our coming out, and our lying down.

Anyway, I would like to challenge my fellow authors to find their favorite passage as well, and post it here.  Along with a few reasons of why they find it to be one of their top favorites.

Psalm 139:

1.  Oh Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2.  You know when I sit and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3.  You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4.  Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5.  You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.

7.   Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8.  If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I made my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9.  if I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10.  even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11.  If I say, "Surely the darkness will cover me,
and the light about me be night,"
12.  even the darkness is not as dark to you;
the night is as bright as the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13.  For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14.  I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15.  My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16.  Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, everyone of them;
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there were none of them.

17.  How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18.  If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.

19.  Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
20.  They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain.
21.  Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
22.  I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them as my enemies.

23.  Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24.  And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Europe vs. America round one-Scenery

     Ok this is not really a battle between the two continents to see which is better. It is really just comparing the two and looking at similarities and differences. In this round I will be reflecting on the many long car rides in which I stared out the window for hours and analysing the scenery of the areas.
     Europe to strike first! Well Europe is pretty diverse (no pun intended).In the north and western countries such as Germany and France it has rolling hills sprinkled with wooded patches coloured with fifty shades of green. In the Alps of southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland there are tall incredibly tall mountans with high peaks and low bases the points looke sharpened and capped with snow all year round. It is alot of beauty in a small area. There are also more regions than I can fit into one paragraph such as Britain and Ireland, Italy, Spain and other  Mediterranean countries. All around it seems concentrated.
     America has it's own uniqueness to it. In the north and west coast it has dramatic hills and mountains covered with tall pine trees of dark green. In the west it has many leagues of flat plains with maybe some hills here and there. Looking at it I feel bored at the nothingness of it yet at the same time awestruck at the utter hugeungousness (that is a word look it up) of it all! It is so wide open and huge and although there is not a whole lot to look at like Europe, it has it's own unique beauty that might not be appreciated by some people. There is also the desert of the Southwest, the Farmlands of the Midwest, the
Appa-whatever mountains of the East, and more. But all around it seems very large and spread out like a little bit of butter spread over a large piece of bread, it may not seem like much compared to the same amount of butter spread over a small piece, but it is really the same.

In This Life

In this life we will face hardships, people will hurt you beat you down until you are destroyed. And you may think that the world hates you because of your religion.

In John 15:18 ' If the world hates you,ye know that it hated me before it hated you.' If it seems like the world hates you right now. You should know that the Lord dealt with this things before you now should know that we do not need worry about it.

It says in 1 Peter 3:14 ' But and if he suffer for righteousness' sake happy,are ye and be not afraid of terror,neither be troubled.' If God said not to be troubled or afraid we should believe what He says is true.

One reason why people will be mean to you is because you are different and you have something they won't in John 17:14 it says ' I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world,even as I am not of the world.'

If God wasn't from the world neither should we. We should not be sinning because that is of the world. If we are not of the world then we should try not to sin.

Because sin is what separates us from God. God is perfect in every way He cannot sin or see sin. The Lord Hates sin he doesn't hate you but the sin that you did. The Lord will be more then glad to for give you of your sin all you have to do is say is," Lord I'm sorry for my sins, please forgive me of them." And whether you believe in Him already or if you haven't yet. Jesus will forgive you of them the Bible tells us so in 1 John 1:9 'If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.' For the people who do not have Jesus in their life will find it harder to apologies for their sins.  The Lord will forgive you of your sins all you have to do is say I'm sorry and believe what He did for you on the Cross. Jesus God's only son died on the cross bearing upon Himself every sin of the World. Jesus took all the sins to hell and left them there. Jesus' body was put in a tomb covered by a massive rock, and guarded by Roman Soldiers over a period of 3 days. On the Third day Jesus arose from the grave beating Satans plan and He saved you.

Jesus was hated by the world, everyone turned their backs on Him. They even put Him to the point of Death. But He did it all for you. Jesus has made the way for a person to get to heaven all we have to do is believe that Jesus rose from the grave and believe that He saved you from something much worse then people saying bad things about you or whatever the problem is. God over came the World. John 16:33 'I have told you these things,so that you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcome the world' God has already won, and The Lord made the way just be willing to accept what He did. And you will be blessed The Lord always protects His children. And remember God made you special and he loves you very much. Later readers.
