Whom Shall We Fear?

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you,Yes I will help you, I will up hold you with my righteous right hand.
and
Romans 8:31
What shall we say to these things? If God is with us who can be against us?

The answer is NO ONE! Its really cool how many times God tells us "not to fear". With Faith we know that this saying is true! A pic I saw once said that saying was written 365 times! Now I'm not sure if that is true, but it sounds amazing. And isn't it great that we can claim this as true? That we don't have to fear, but yet a lot of us still do. I fear what I don't know, especially this week, I'm going to a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament this Saturday and I'm kinda nervous. But I'm not going to worry about it, Because He is all ready there. God is not bound to time so He is all ready there helping us. Why should we fear? What do we have to fear? When God is for us then who can stand against us? Now we may fail or we may lose but with God we will still be known as victors. We can't give up and try to hide under our beds, and try to pretend that "if we just stay here, nothing bad will happen." Well Guess what you just missed out big time! You must have more faith my friends, For with Faith, Everything and Anything, is possible! Isn't that a wonderful Blessing!? I read something a few days ago that said that "a thankful person remembers God's protection." try it, it works remember all the things you can be thankful for and you won't be so scared. When we try to fight the fears ourselves we will be destroyed every time, but with God all things are possible! So like it says in Veggietales we shouldn't fear when God is on our team we are the victors every time. Don't let Satan beat you into hiding, because that's what he wants. God is on our side so we need not be afraid of what happens tomorrow,  " Because Tomorrow has to worry about itself" Matthew 6:34a. If you are worried you can always pray, Prayer is the strongest way for you to get rid of your fear. "Ask and you shall receive, so that your joy may be full" John 16:24b.

 He who kneels before God
Can Stand Before anyone.

Restless

As I write this blog post, my mental knee is bouncing.  I'm bouncing up and down on the balls of my feet, the starting gate won't open fast enough.  I glance restlessly at the referee on the side line.  When will he fire the gun?  When will they open the gate?  I'm ready to leap out onto the track.  It's time to go!  I'm ready.

But am I ready?  My family and I are due to fly out of Germany on July 29th.  We've had an amazing three and a half years here, we have been so blessed.  The time here has flown by, this chapter is coming to a close.  But it isn't yet finished, even when I get on that plane in a couple of months, this chapter will never really be finished.  The friends, the experiences, and the places I've visited will forever have an impact on me.

So, why am I typing this out to you?  These days, I'm excited.  I'm ready for the next adventure.  I haven't been back to the United States in three and a half years, I haven't seen alot of my relatives in three and a half years.  These are some of the reasons, but then, I am just excited for the next duty station.  I'm waiting with baited breath for the next adventure the Maker has in store for us.

As good as it is to be this excited, we need to be careful.  It would be easy to be excited for something and get distracted from the blessings right in front of you.  My dad said it well the other day, "You may not  do it intentionally, but when it comes time to starting packing up to move, you try to draw away from your friends. You don't want to have to experience the hurt that involves leaving them behind."

I don't think I've gotten to that stage, but I feel like I need to focus on the here and now.  I have friends here that are important to me, I still have finals to stress over, I have half a vacation to enjoy before actually leaving.  There is too much going on to let my focus be drawn somewhere else.  God has put me here for a reason, and I need to live the rest of this chapter out.  Second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, and day by day.

So, this is my challenge to you and to me.  Enjoy the moments you are living in.  Enjoy every frustration, every challenge, and every moment of laughter.  Run the race to the finish line.  When your feet skim the ground, and you grind for that extra gear, see Christ.  He is the perfect example.  Run to live.  Run so that when you meet your Maker, He will smile at you and say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize?  So run that you may obtain it." 1 Corinthians 9:24 (ESV)

Run. Every. Single. Inch.

Why do you try to fit in, When you were born to stand out?

A saying I saw a few days ago was," Why are you trying to be someone who you know you weren't meant to be?" When I saw that it struck me, Why do we try to be like someone else!? Like an Actor or a Singer, A good friend, or your enemy, it may look like they have there lives together but let me tell ya ,they don't. And if you don't believe me look at Justin Bieber, and Lindsay Lohan, the list could go on but I'm going to stop here. Why do we want to be like them, is it because you just want to rebel? Well you shouldn't People like you the way you are, so why Change!? God made us this way and He has a wonderful plan for us. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:10, " For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works which He prepared in advance for us to do." So God made you this way for a reason. Jeremiah 29:11," For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, a plan to encourage you, a plan to give you a future of everlasting hope."  So don't try to fit in because He wants you to be you. Because You are Awesome, and don't forget it.

Ten Different Types of People on Bumper Cars

Thursday afternoon found my mom, Bear, Belle, and I heading to the Volksfest that was being hosted on our post, for both Americans and Germans.  It's a way for our two communities to get out and socialize.  Being, the oldest sibling there, I took it upon myself to take my younger siblings on the bumper cars (very sacrificial, I know.)  And it also was Belle's first time on the bumper cars.

While experiencing the constant whip-lashing, I also had the time to look at the different people driving in the small area that was allotted for this gladiator battle on wheels.  (Don't worry, I would stop to correct my brother whenever he would go backwards, sideways, or just turn around and against traffic.)  So, this brings you to the "Ten Different Types of People on Bumper Cars."

1.  There is always that one twenty one year old guy, who deems it necessary to use his Savings on all the chips he can buy. (And because having a real car is too mainstream.)

2.  Then there are the two siblings who crunch into a car, and lock onto an unsuspecting older brother and his three year old sister, and give their gift of whip-lashing.  And potentially scarring that little girl, so that she will refuse to ride in a bumper car ever again. (Don't worry, I rammed them back.. multiple times.)

3.  You can't forget the older couple, that probably haven't seen a bumper car in their life, and start laughing as they call for assistance, because their chip won't work.

4.  That one little girl, who looks so innocent.  She'll make you pay for thinking that she is innocent.

5.  But then, there really is that innocent girl, who has no idea what she's doing, and starts wailing about how life isn't fair.  (She's right on.)

6.  Wait for it.. the rage monster.  It can be all fun and games, until someone nails him.  He'll get you back.  Hard.

7.  That little brother, who refuses to go with the flow.  NO.  Must get out of flow.  #Toomainstream.

8.  And we've all seen that guy, who is obviously too big for the bumper cars, and winces whenever he runs into someone.. (Those shins can only take so much hurt.)

9.  And then on the completely opposite side of the spectrum are the short people.  The kind of people who can barely see over the steering wheel.

10.  And last, but definitely not least, that person who tries to avoid all kinds of contact.  (You can't blame them.)

That's my list!  How about you?

Fallen From The Presence of God: Prologue

Michael looked down from the gleaming tower down on the Angelic beings flying hard and fast back to the Mount Zion.  The Light reflected and shone brightly off the armor of the Angels.  Michael looked at them, then back at the hallway where the Light emanated.  He calculated quickly, only a few miles out. Which means that they will be here any second.

Michael turned back to the hallway, from the balcony he had been keeping watch on, and gave one more flap of his wings and flew down the corridor.  As he glided left to go down the stairs, a powerful voice filled his head.  "I know, my son.  They approach from the west.  And I know what news they carry.  I know the rebellion.  I have always known.  Do not fear for them, my child.  Instead.  Pray."

The Archangel bowed his head.

                                               *                     *                 *

Archangel Gabriel flapped down into the courtyard, his heart overwhelmed with righteous anger.  And sadness.  A sadness that felt like it would rip apart his heart from his soul.  His clear blue eyes were clouded with troubled thoughts, as he walked up the main stair to the oak front doors.  With every step he took, the Light brightened, until when he finally passed over the threshold, it would have blinded any human that attempted to pass into it.

Gabriel paused at the doorway and looked back at his fellow Warriors, all of them mighty angels of God.  Of the twelve total angels that had gone on the mission, eleven of them were nearly eight feet tall and broad.  But the one at the back of them group barely stood seven feet, and was slighter than the rest.  He was built for speed.

Gabriel turned all around, "Joab.  Walk by my side."  When the younger angel joined the leader of the band at the front, and they proceeded into the council of the Lord.  All of them were Warriors of the Light.

As they entered the Great Hall, they were washed over with the song of the Seraphims and Cherubs that surrounded the Throne of their Almighty Father.  But there was something deeper, as they entered the presence of the Lord, they felt forgiven.  And loved.  They felt full.  Their cup was overflowing.

The Light that was flowing from the Throne was the essence of power.  It was the essence of love.  It was the essence of compassion.  It is Power, Love, and Compassion.  The King, who filled the Throne, could not be looked at.  Even the Angels had to shield their eyes.  Gabriel, Joab, and their fellow warriors dropped to their knees and bowed their heads and laid their swords, tip facing them, on the floor in front of them.

A low rumble filled the room, and the King spoke, "My children, rise.  And be filled with peace.  You are troubled.  It pains Me as well that Lucifer should refuse forgiveness.  He has caused trouble, and refuses to be healed.  Don't worry, Warriors of Mine.  I AM."

So, what do y'all think?  A possible new book idea?  I feel like it would be an interesting story.  I still need to finish my trilogy, but as a possible side, I could write this.  Also, a disclaimer, this is just a theory.  Not even that.  More like just a young writer playing with the thought of what was the story behind the fallen Angels.  Hope you enjoy!  And let me know what you think.
